About Us: We live on the Edge. We don't break the Code We are a non-profit ministry established in the State of Washington in February,1994. Reaching Men. Our passion is to reach men with the Truth of the Gospel and to present Christ in a relevant way in our Broken World. Being in the world to take advantage of opportunities to speak on Christ's behalf is our passion. Investing time in the lives of men to build relationships which last for eternity is our goal. Board of Directors. Men who have walked with Christ for many years. We are active in our own local churches and in the lives of men about us. Scripture. The center of what we believe. We are committed to the Inerrant Position of Scripture. Infallibe in its meaning and Authoritative in regard to Faith. Our desire and drive in all we do is to honor Scripture and live its meaning in practical ways reflecting the character of Christ. Marriage Coaching. Dale has had years of time in coaching marriages; marriages which are young and healthy with occasional glitches and marriages which are in deeply serious trouble. God has seen fit to use the wisdom gleaned from the Scriptures to build strong, healthy marriages. Mentoring. Our ministry has been instrumental in establishing three men's ministries in local churches. We have been involved in Conflict Resolution for many years. We are active in the mentoring of leadership in many Christian Organizations. Counsel. We are regularly involved in sorting out conflict and interacting with leaders in churches involved in complex issues. We are committed to seeking harmony among believers from backgrounds of great diversty for a testimony to Christ, who in resurrection changes lives for His glory. Retreats. Father-Son, Grandfather-grandson retreats have been a highlight of our year for several years. During these retreats we use horses, outdoor craft and great scenery to build into the lives of young men with the purpose of attracting them to a life of faith. Network of Men. Men who communicate with each other to discuss serious concerns which impact our Faith. Getting together to talk, studying scripture, travelling together, or by what ever means to engage men in serious life changing discussions, is our method. In keeping with II Tim. 2:2 we seek to pass on the Truth of Christ's transforming presence to other men who in turn will pass the Truth of Christ's presence to other men. | A Vision in the Mountains. During a hunting trip while living in Wyoming, Dave Hansen and Dale Swanson prayed for a ministry to reach men for Christ using outdoor and man stuff. This was the birth of Reaching Men Ministries. The Director Dale is a graduate of DTS 67 - Dallas Theological Seminary. Dale has pastored 5 churches. His passion is communicating Biblical Truth in practical ways to men who live in a Broken World. Dale is married to Joanne. They have 3 grown daughters and live in Puyallup,WA. Having grown up travelling and camping in WA State, the ministry of RMM focuses upon using men's interests in recreation to attract them to the faith. Board of Directors Jim Bower is a long time friend of Dale and Dave. He lives in Port Angeles and is active in Sequim Bible Church. He has three grown children. He works in the Timber Industry. John Dungey lives in Central Point and is a grad of DTS - 67. His boys are grown. He and his wife Glennis have been active in their home church. It means, "from here to there." Where where is, no one seems to know but this illustrates the simple principle of discipleship found in the life of Christ. Book of Mark: The brilliance of this Truth, From Here To There, is illustrated in Mark. The great truths of personal surrender and spiritual depth are revealed and then driven into the heart with an eternal impact while they are walking from Here to There. Mark 6/51-52 Biblical Principle: From Here to There. The most significant truths which are in the heart of men while walking with Christ are found in times when we are going 'from here to there, When something else is happening - a walk - a boat ride - asleep on a mountain - inability in the face of evil - going to rest, men often let down defenses and open their spirits to Truth. Biblical Principle Applied: Men are profoundly affected by Truth when there is something to do which does not focus specifically on the discussion of some serious issue. Unless of course God brings a man into your life who is in deep pain and seeks to hear the Truth. Men - Walking the Light into the Darkness |
